Pivot Dance Studio is a community of friendly, supportive and fun people who connect through dancing. We teach everyone from kids to adults, beginner to advanced, and social to competitive.
Our favourite part of teaching is watching the students develop new skills and becoming confident on the dance floor. In some cases, compete or shine on the international world stage. We also have the option of privates, semi-priviate, Pro-Am training, teaching at events and group lessons.
Kid’s classes include Hip Hop, Acro, Jazz, Ballet and more. Learning to dance at a young age helps kids with emotional, social and intellectual development. Proprioception development “the ability to sense the orientation of your body in your environment” is a transferable skill highly valuable in many aspects of life.
Adults learn the art of partner work dance through our Salsa and Bachata dance classes. We see Social Latin Dance Classes as a great way for adults to meet people, make new friends and learn a new skill.
We are located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Come along to one of our classes and try something new. We look forward to meeting you.

Is a passionate Dance Instructor and Entrepreneur based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area. Born in Toronto and raised in Ecuador, his unwavering passion for dancing began when he was just five years old, but it was his love of music that truly started it all. In fact, the Latin rhythm has deeply influenced Efren since listening to his father’s collection of Fania LPs, which further fueled his drive to interpret music through dance.
Throughout his creative career, Efren has trained with some of the most prominent dancers worldwide, including Tito & Tamara, Bill & Katie, and Nelson Flores. He has also performed in a multitude of well-known dance congresses across the globe. The moment he first started being a dance instructor a decade ago, Efren’s primary mission has been to help others utilize dance as a method of music-infused self-expression.
During his free time, Efren enjoys DJing and dog training. He also has an avid interest in technology, photography, and the history of music, but music is and will forever be his number one.
Vicken Serkis is known for his smooth yet defined lead on the dance floor. He’s been dancing since 2005 and attended international congresses around the world expanding on his love of Cuban Salsa and Bachata.

Matti Saidyfye has been dancing since the age of 7, with most of her training focused in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Hip Hop. Matti has been teaching dance for over 6 years and is a certified Tap and Jazz instructor under Dance Masters of America, and a certified Acro instructor under Acrobatic Arts.
Throughout her 16 years of dancing she has been apart of a competitive dance group, a Hip Hop dance Crew, and has had the opportunity to do performances and workshops within the dance community. Over the past year, Matti has continued to explore her passion for dance by moving into the world of Latin dancing. Salsa has quickly become one of her favourite dance styles as it challenges her in different ways than the styles she has previous training in do. Matti has also fallen in love with Latin music and all of the different ways you can express yourself. She cannot wait to see what else the Latin dance world has to offer her!
